Position Summary:
As a Clinical Medical Assistant, you will work in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care, including administrative front desk tasks, under the direction of a licensed clinical professional in the Occupational Health Office.
Hours: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm or 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday.

What you will do:
- Register and input patient demographics. Schedule appointments as required.
- Answer phone calls in a prompt, courteous and efficient manner.
- Interview patients and guarantors; ensure smooth patient flow throughout the day.
- Assist nurses with pre-employment health screenings, including measuring vital signs and administering injections as requested.
- Collect urine specimens for drug screening, ensuring sample integrity following strict chain of custody protocols.
- Performs respiratory fit testing in accordance with hospital policy and OSHA standard 1910.134.
- Demonstrate reliability in accepting and fulfilling various roles in the overall staffing plan.
- Render consistent professional care to all patients.
- Maintain all equipment in proper working order and observes safe and accurate use of all medical devices.
What you will need:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of an accredited certified Medical Assistant - MA program or equivalent clinical experience required
- Prefer a current Medical Assistant Certification from a national agency: NCCT, NHA, AMCA, NAHP or AAMA; or a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through AMT
- Current BLS through the American Heart Association
- Prior Medical Assistant experience preferred
- Good interpersonal skills for effective communication are necessary
- Experience in Occupational Medicine (Employee Health) a plus
