Citi’s Nordic Commercial Bank (CCB) was launched in 2020 and is today a fast growth business with a hub in Stockholm, Sweden with vision to significantly scale up over the next five years and beyond. Our office is centrally located at Birger Jarlsgatan 6.

This Relationship Associate (RA) role has come on back of strong growth of the CCB team in the Nordics. The role will have primary responsibility of supporting the bankers in servicing Nordics headquartered clients, supporting bankers deepen existing client relationships and facilitate onboarding of new commercial banking clients across Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway.

Previous experience in trade & cash management servicing will be of particular advantage in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Relationship Managers and product partners to drive execution of new client and subsidiary onboardings, ensuring KYC and initial credit set-ups are accurately completed

  • Engage key contacts within the client organisation to resolve onboarding and operational issues while maintaining a high level of client confidence and satisfaction.

  • Oversee and manage the precise execution of onboarding, account-opening processes, new product solutions for new as well as existing clients

  • Ensure timely and accurate execution of KYC, AML, and regulatory requirements in coordination with Compliance and Risk teams

  • Facilitate clients access Citi’s global network by coordinating and executing strategies with regional teams and product experts to deliver international banking needs

  • Execute timely, high-quality responses to client inquiries, resolve operational issues in coordination with internal teams to maintain control

  • Oversee day-to-day transactional needs for a portfolio of clients, ensuring controlled delivery of credit, treasury, and trade finance solutions

  • Act as a key liaison in coordinating resolution of critical operational issues  in partnership with Operations, Legal, Compliance and other control functions to ensure effective risk mitigation

  • Rigorously maintain and leverage accurate and up-to-date client records across all relevant systems, including CCB’s Relationship Manager applications and credit related systems, to ensure  date integrity for execution and control in compliance with Citi’s policies and regulatory requirements

  • Execute in cash transaction implementation and coordination of account functions in support of bankers

  • Partner with Citi’s product teams to identify cross-sell opportunities and align client needs with global solutions for effective execution

  • Partner effectively with CCB team members, including analysts, associates and various business development teams, to ensure precise execution of client commitments and strategic objectives

  • Assess and manage risk appropriately when business decisions are made, safeguarding Citi’s reputation by driving compliance with applicable laws, applying sound ethical judgment

  • Actively contribute to internal projects related to process improvement, operational execution, onboarding experience, regulatory updates, or platform enhancements

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Commercial / Corporate banking experience, preferably in a client facing role

  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder coordination skills with a client-focused mindset; capable of working independently and collaboratively

  • Basic knowledge of trade, lending, FX and other cash management solutions

  • Organizational skills are a must; ability to prioritize and handle multiple priority assignments

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint); ability to learn and to adapt to new systems quickly

  • English is the functional language. However fluency in any Nordic language will be considered favorably


Education:

  • Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
