About the Department

The Growth Engineering team is responsible for architecting and delivering world-class, cohesive product experiences that drive user activation, adoption, and scale for millions of Cloudflare self-service customers. We focus on continuous, thoughtful optimization of the customer journey, from initial acquisition and onboarding through product adoption. Our core mission is to empower users to get what they need faster and to provide a platform that enables the next level of growth for Cloudflare by allowing users to adopt and expand their product usage through fantastic in-product experiences.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, product-minded front-end or full-stack engineer to join our Product Growth team. This role is a hybrid of product engineering and growth focus, requiring deep technical expertise in building large-scale, high-performance applications, a strong foundation in system design, and a keen eye for crafting delightful user experiences. The ideal candidate will translate product vision into polished, performant code that directly impacts key business metrics. You must care deeply not only about the quality of your code and the system’s architecture but also about the end-to-end customer experience and enhancing developer productivity. You will be instrumental in evolving our self-service properties to better serve our customers and drive measurable growth.

We are also strong believers in dog-fooding our own products. From cache configuration to Cloudflare Access, Cloudflare Workers, and Zaraz, these are all tools in our engineer's tool belt, so it is a plus if you have been a customer of ours, even as a free user.

The Software Engineer, Growth will be responsible for the following:

Technical delivery of customer-facing UI experiences intended to accelerate user acquisition, engagement, and retention through data-informed strategies.
Collaborate closely with product, design, and stakeholders to define key outcome measurements, roadmaps, and feature specifications.
Execute engineering projects across the product lifecycle, from conceptualization through production deployment.
Architect scalable frontend solutions and build features end-to-end (front-end, back-end, IaC, system design, debugging, and testing).
Contribute to increasing developer productivity, improving code quality, and enhancing application performance and security across our core properties.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure all product experiences are compliant and adhere to our trust and safety principles.
