The Legal Operations team is a strategic function within the legal department that focuses on optimizing processes, managing resources, and enabling the delivery of high-quality legal services. By implementing technology solutions, streamlining workflows, and overseeing vendor and budget management, the team ensures that legal operations run efficiently and align with broader business objectives. Their work supports the legal team in focusing on complex legal matters while maintaining operational excellence, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration across the organization.

The opportunity: 

Gain hands-on experience at the intersection of law and technology. You will play a key role in researching and evaluating cutting-edge AI-powered contract analysis tools, directly contributing to the Legal Operations team’s technology strategy and innovation roadmap. Through this project, you will develop a deep understanding of legal tech platforms, assess their features and integration capabilities, and learn how to align technology solutions with real-world legal workflows. Your work will culminate in the creation of a comparative analysis and recommendation report, giving you practical experience in both research and strategic decision-making. This internship is ideal for someone eager to explore legal innovation and make a meaningful impact on how legal teams leverage technology.

In this role, you'll get to:

  • Comparative Matrix: A structured table comparing key features of selected Legal AI contract analysis tools, including clause recognition, risk flagging, and integration capabilities.
  • Feature Summary: A concise overview of each tool’s strengths, limitations, and unique functionalities relevant to legal workflows.
  • Usability Evaluation: Insights into user experience, ease of adoption, and potential training needs based on demos or available documentation.
  • Workflow Fit Assessment: Analysis of how each tool could integrate into existing legal processes, with examples of practical use cases.
  • Recommendation Report: A written summary proposing the most suitable tools for further exploration or pilot testing, supported by rationale.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Currently enrolled as a 3rd-year student or below and will maintain student status throughout the internship period.
  • Available to participate in the internship program from 22nd of May to 31st July 2026 (10-week program)
  • Experience in Statistical analysis (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS)
  • Knowledge in Process Mapping and Solution Analysis
  • Great English communication skills in both spoken and written forms
  • Structured logical thinking and problem-solving skills. Strong numerical acumen
  • Positive attitude and openness to learn and adapt
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, multicultural environment
