Current operations are located in Rock Hill, SC, with a large facility expansion underway. Who we are looking for
We seek a highly experienced transformational leader who has successfully driven organizational, cultural, and operational transformation and growth within composites manufacturing environments. Based in Rock Hill, SC and reporting to our Chief Operating Officer, as President you will lead the business as we continue the rapid growth of our scale, product and customer mix, facilities footprint, and team members.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in both low-mix/higher-volume and high-mix/low-volume production, with a proven ability to scale operations, mature production systems, and elevate engineering capability in a rapidly growing business. They will have significant experience leading a P&L, operational experience with manufacturing at scale, strong business acumen, a continuous improvement mentality, and excellent coaching and motivational skills. They will understand what it takes to successfully leverage front-end engineering teams within composites or advanced materials manufacturing, with the ability to translate customer requirements into robust production processes while increasing throughput, improving quality, and strengthening cross-functional collaboration.
What you get to do
- Lead the continued build out of Composite Resources’ manufacturing and engineering capacity and capabilities to support growth. This includes outfitting, establishing, and scaling production at CR’s second, higher volume facility in Rock Hill.
- Manage the P&L. Develop budgets, financial plans, capacity planning, and performance metrics, giving regular updates on progress and critical path items. Own ongoing business-wide performance KPIs and metrics and use them to drive improvement in operating performance and financial margins.
- Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing team with a strong, positive operating culture, including Engineering, Operations, Technical Development, Quality, Finance, and Human Resources.
- Lead the engineering team to efficiently take design concepts and customer requirements all the way to highly efficient production.
- Develop and deploy operational strategies, priorities, production systems, workflows, and performance metrics to ensure safety, quality, delivery, cost (SQDC), and profitability objectives are met.
