Job Summary

Caterpillar’s Site Engineering organization is seeking a Business Success Manager to provide leadership focus on organizational execution, alignment, and communication of results. This role partners closely with the Site Engineering Director, Engineering Managers, HR, and cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure the organization is meeting aggressive goals related to staffing ramp, operational efficiency, and delivery outcomes.

The Business Success Manager is accountable for driving clarity around priorities, developing metrics that align to top‑level objectives, and ensuring measurable progress toward annual targets. This role plays a critical part in translating strategy into execution by leveraging data, simplifying processes, and communicating results clearly to leadership.

What You Will Do

Organizational Ramp & Talent Enablement

  • Lead coordination of staffing ramp strategies by partnering with Talent Acquisition, HR, and Engineering Managers.

  • Support onboarding planning across the organization, including new‑hire engagement activities and onboarding readiness.

  • Track staffing progress against organizational and budget targets and provide regular visibility to leadership.

  • Analyze resource ramp effectiveness and adjust tactics to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Business Success & Metrics Management

  • Establish, refine, and align common metrics that directly support Site Engineering goals.

  • Ensure consistent reporting of progress against goals and facilitate monthly and quarterly business reviews.

  • Support Engineering Managers in driving outcomes aligned to organizational commitments.

  • Translate data into clear insights and actionable recommendations for leadership.

Driving Process Simplicity and Velocity

  • Provide focused leadership to drive simplification across the product development and engineering lifecycle.

  • Continuously evaluate process flow, lifecycle steps, and decision paths to improve velocity and throughput.

  • Champion data‑driven improvements and ensure changes result in measurable business impact.

  • Capture and document process improvements and success stories for organizational and leadership communication.

Communication & Leadership Enablement

  • Serve as a trusted partner to the Site Engineering Director in preparing communications, updates, and leadership materials.

  • Publicize successes using measurable outcomes to reinforce progress toward strategic goals.

  • Promote alignment and transparency across the organization through consistent, structured communication.

Education Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.

Customer & Stakeholder Focus

  • Partners effectively with Engineering, HR, Finance, and Talent Acquisition.

  • Improves stakeholder responsiveness through streamlined processes and clear ownership.

  • Ensures leadership receives timely insights to support informed decision‑making.

Top Candidates Will Also Have

  • Experience with Caterpillar MineStar Product Development.

  • Experience supporting engineering or technical organizations at scale.

  • Demonstrated success in staffing ramp management and workforce planning.

  • Strong experience with business metrics, dashboards, and executive reporting.

  • Proven ability to drive process simplification and operational efficiency.

  • Experience operating in a matrixed or fast‑growing organization.

  • Some travel may be required based on business needs

Final Details

Must have full working rights for Australia

This position requires working onsite five days a week.
