About the Role

PHD EMEA, part of Omnicom Media, are looking for a Senior Planner to join our central Digital Activation Hub (DAH) team. We are delighted to be building a new DAH team to manage biddable digital activation for Europe’s newest streaming service across the EMEA region. The Senior Planner role requires significant hands-on experience in managing one or more of Programmatic or Social channels and having the latest knowledge of the platform across a variety of KPIs. The ideal candidate will be confident in presenting work and ideas to clients and working on educating the junior team on setups, Q&As, optimisations, and troubleshooting. The individual will be part of an international team of 25+ people based in London. This is an incredible opportunity for an individual with a strong programmatic and/or social background to join one of the largest media agencies delivering award-winning work daily

Key responsibilities 

Team Management

• Support your manager and Associate Director in guiding the output of a team of 3-6 onshore /nearshore biddable specialists. Take responsibility for your team’s output, acting as an escalation point when required.

• Create supporting documentation & work with junior members of the team across the Hub to upskill them on Programmatic & Social activation and our ways of working.

• Contribute to PHD’s company culture, whether it’s writing POVs, participating in charity events, or sharing your latest Excel trick.

Strategic Account Management

• Lead the day-to-day communication between the agency, our international offices and international client stakeholders

• Work with your Associate Director & Manager to deliver best-in-class media planning.

• Take a brief from planning through to close, working with analysts on insights that can deliver the outcomes our clients expect from us.

• Take ownership of a portfolio of campaigns/ projects and become a trusted advisor for all things digital Campaign Management & Optimisation

• Work in tandem with our nearshore team to deliver campaign activity across Programmatic & Social

• Collaborate with local teams on market- leading data & supply that are described in media plans for flighted campaigns in programmatic & social. 

Skills and experience 

• Experience working in programmatic or social activation.

• Full understanding of the mechanics of a media plan.

• Be a proactive self-starter with great knowledge of digital marketing principles

• Have a passion for learning new things

• Have strong communication, listening skills and attention to detail

• Have excellent numerical skills and confidence in analysing data using Excel

• Be responsive to feedback

• Have strong organisational skills, being able to manage multiple projects at once 

• Strong spoken & written English

• Ability to speak other European languages is desired, but not essential
