 The JJMT Transformation function is responsible for designing and realizing the future-state supply chain network for Johnson & Johnson MedTech. This function includes oversight of consolidation and rationalization actions for the global distribution network, a strategic shift toward an asset-light model, and the build-out of new, future-looking logistics capabilities including partner management, network design, systems strategy, and defining the transition standards required to sustain performance in the future state. The team operates centrally, working in close partnership with regional Deliver teams across EMEA, APAC, LATAM, and North America.

PURPOSE OF POSITION

 

As a member of the Transformation function, this role leads the Distribution Network Orchestration sub-function to help realize MedTech’s future-state network transformation. The position is a working manager role, being responsible for ensuring the Network Orchestration sub-function achieves its goals while executing Network Design and Value Assurance activities. These activities include refinement of network choices and associated economics, development and management of the detailed business case, tracking regional progress against the business case, identifying risks towards business case delivery, and elevating these risks and associated implications to the appropriate global and regional leaders. The role works in close partnership with regional teams and other cross-functional stakeholders to support aligned execution of network changes, while helping ensure transformation decisions remain connected to value realization, transition readiness, and end-state network intent.

RESPONSIBILITIES / PRINCIPAL DUTIES (Essential Functions)

  • Lead the Network Orchestration capability area within the central transformation team, ensuring priorities, activities, and outputs remain aligned to the network transformation objectives and future-state requirements

  • Execute the Network Design and Value Assurance scope by refining network choices and associated economics as transformation plans evolve

  • Own and maintain the detailed business case and NPV model for network transformation initiatives, incorporating relevant assumptions, changes, and decision impacts over time

  • Track progress against the business case and assess whether regional execution remains aligned with targeted value, timing, and network intent

  • Monitor stranded cost exposure, identify emerging risks to value realization, and raise issues requiring intervention, resolution, or escalation to the appropriate stakeholders and governance forum

  • Provide clear reporting and decision support to the overall MedTech Optimize PMO on network choices, economics, execution progress, and key risks

  • Partner with regional teams to support execution of network changes by providing business case visibility, clarifying design intent, and helping connect local actions to enterprise value objectives

  • Coordinate across functions involved in network transformation to ensure network decisions, assumptions, and execution implications are consistently reflected in planning and implementation activities

  • Oversee the development, refresh, and deployment of transition standards, ensuring network transition activities are approached with greater consistency and less duplication over time

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Education and/or additional training:

  • A minimum of a bachelor degree is required

  • A Master's degree or MBA in Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, or a related field is preferred

 

Experience and functional competencies:

 

  • Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in distribution network design, global logistics procurement or logistics strategy, with demonstrated ownership of large-scale network transformation programs

  • Expertise in network design, business case development, and value tracking, including assessment of network economics, NPV (Net Present Value), and stranded cost implications aligned to transformation objectives

  • Experience defining and deploying transition standards, playbooks, or process guidance to support complex network changes across regions

  • Ability to work in a global, matrix organization: strong communication and presentation skills; ability to partner with and influence others without direct authority; build consensus and collaborate with people from different functions and regions

  • Strong project management experience, with the ability to translate network design intent into executable plans and track progress against business case objectives

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks, assess trade-offs, and support decision-making in a complex transformation environment
