Job Description

About Mesh

At Mesh, our mission is to enable consumers to pay and be paid with any asset. Today, trillions of dollars in tokenized assets exist but remain largely unusable for everyday commerce. Mesh is bridging this gap by making crypto payments reliable, useful, and ubiquitous. We combine a powerful orchestration engine with a seamless consumer app to unlock liquidity for the world. Backed by leading investors like PayPal Ventures, Paradigm, and Galaxy Ventures, we are building the infrastructure for the next era of the global economy. Join us!

Mesh is seeking a Head of Product, Fiat to lead the critical bridge between the traditional financial system and the crypto ecosystem. Your work will enable the seamless exchange of crypto into fiat and the reliable movement of funds between Mesh, traditional banking networks, and exchanges. This is a hands-on leadership role where strategy meets deep technical execution. You will act as the architect of our fiat infrastructure, defining the roadmap, driving high-impact integrations, and elevating the product organization as we shape the future of global money movement.

What You'll Do

  • Own the Fiat Engine: Take end-to-end ownership of the product roadmap for fiat money movement. You will simplify complex banking flows, fiat-to-crypto onboarding/offboarding (on-ramps and off-ramps), and infrastructure challenges into a reliable API and user experience.
  • Master the Fiat Rails: Optimize and expand our connectivity to traditional banking networks globally (e.g., ACH, PIX, SEPA, etc). You will ensure our fiat settlement and reconciliation processes are as fast, transparent, and reliable as possible.
  • Champion Safety & Compliance: Treat compliance as a core product feature. You will ensure our fiat rails adhere to global payment regulations, AML/KYC rules, and risk frameworks without stifling commercial growth or user experience.
  • Drive Banking Partnerships: Build and manage technical and strategic relationships with banking partners, payment processors, and fiat liquidity providers. You will translate external banking capabilities and constraints into internal product advantages.
  • Execute with Rigor: Apply analytical rigor to every decision. You will set ambitious goals, measure success with data, and ensure Mesh's fiat operations scale with financial precision and zero defect tolerance.
  • High Leverage & Efficiency: You ruthlessly optimize and automate your own operational workflows. You treat your time as the company's most valuable resource, utilizing modern tools to scale your output so you can focus on high-impact strategy.

Who You Are

  • 8+ years in Product Management with expert-level knowledge of traditional payment rails (ACH, Wires, RTP, Cards) and banking integrations.
  • Fiat Fluency: You have deep experience connecting to the banking system. You know how money moves in the real world and how to solve for settlement times and reconciliation.
  • Crypto Competency: You must understand the fundamentals of digital assets—wallets, exchanges, and stablecoins—and possess a strong desire to build the future of this technology.
  • Technical Rigor: You can lead architecture discussions on API design, reconciliation, and ledger management.
  • Strategic Problem Solving: You excel at solving ambiguous problems where legacy infrastructure clashes with new technology (e.g., "How do we offer instant availability on a slow rail?").
  • Leadership: Proven experience managing teams and influencing stakeholders across Engineering, Legal, Security and Compliance.

The annual base salary range for this role is $225,000-$300,000 in San Francisco and New York. The compensation range provided may span multiple career levels and will be narrowed during the interview process based on factors including a candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location. For candidates outside of San Francisco and New York, compensation will be adjusted to reflect the applicable market and location-based pay band. Actual compensation may vary and may be higher or lower depending on individual circumstances.
