Job Summary
At Ketryx, we’re on a mission to help medical software teams build secure, reliable applications that make a real difference in people’s lives. We give them the tools to automate the tough parts of compliance and quality so they can focus on what matters most: creating life-saving products with confidence.
We are currently hiring across multiple levels for experienced Software Quality Engineers to join our team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the reliability and performance of our software, which helps medical device companies bring their products to market faster. You’ll take ownership of your tasks for which you will be working closely with engineers to design robust automated tests, integrate them into CI pipelines, and ensure high-quality releases. Your contributions will directly support the delivery of safe, effective healthcare technology.
About You
You’re passionate about quality and believe that great software starts with solid testing. You’re detail-oriented, enjoy uncovering edge cases, and take pride in building reliable, maintainable automated tests. You thrive in fast-paced environments where you can take initiative, improve processes, and influence product quality from the ground up. You’re comfortable communicating in English with cross-functional teams, and you see testing as a collaborative effort not a gatekeeping one. You’re not looking for a next position but you’re looking for a good team where you can make a meaningful impact, continue to grow professionally, and be part of something that truly matters. Above all, you're excited to apply your skills to technology that directly improves patient outcomes.
Ideally you will be currently located in Vienna or are remote within the EU. Unfortunately, we are unable to support non-EU citizens for the position at this time.
What You’ll Do

- Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end automated tests using Playwright, TypeScript, and Cucumber
- Continuously improve the test framework and contribute to the stability and scalability of the test suite
- Participate in verification and validation activities to ensure compliance with product requirements and industry standards
- Write clear and thorough manual test cases when automation is not feasible or during early development stages
- Support test execution in CI environments (e.g., GitHub Actions) and help investigate and debug test failures
- Contribute to fostering a quality-focused culture across the engineering team
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 4 years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years specifically focused on test automation for web applications
- Over 1 year of hands-on experience with TypeScript, or more than 2 years with JavaScript
