Job Description
Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.
The Lab Operations Manager owns end-to-end execution of facility program processes within a satellite production/manufacturing environment, serving as the primary interface between operations and cross-functional teams across Leo Manufacturing. Lead the intake governance process by driving prioritization, facilitating decision-making, and identifying risks early. Ensure consistent forward progress by unblocking projects and aligning stakeholders to deliver effective, timely solutions.
Partner closely with internal tooling teams to maintain accurate, real-time visibility through dashboards and trackers, while establishing and enforcing governance mechanisms that standardize processes across sites. Build scalable, repeatable operational frameworks to support growing facility needs, and act as the Operations Subject Matter Expert for workplace execution and continuous improvement. Continuously provide feedback to central teams on operational gaps, performance trends, and opportunities to enhance efficiency and user experience.
Key job responsibilities
* Support Leo Workplace Operation (LWO) in the end-to-end facility lifecycle process: project intake → execution planning → progress tracking → closeout
* Support change request governance, documentation, and tracking mechanisms
* Serve as LWO’s first point of contact for support requests, intake submissions, and user questions
* Coordinate layout changes, equipment moves, site visits, and infrastructure upgrades in partnership with Design & Construction (D&C) and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)
* Support planned and unplanned facility outages in partnership with Facilities Management and internal leadership; schedule flexibility is a must
* Conduct regular facility audits and track local metrics related to compliance, usage, and support needs
* Proactively remain informed of inflight projects and workback schedules, escalating blockers as needed
* Serve as the central liaison for tooling, dashboarding, and asset tracking workstreams
* Support cross-functional meetings (e.g., with D&C, EHS, IT), ensuring clear notes, follow-ups, and timely execution
* Monitor program health metrics and report regularly on progress, risks, and upcoming projects
* Drive continuous improvement of operations through process standardization and stakeholder feedback loops
