Senior Full-Stack Engineer

The Role

We are seeking a seasoned, hands-on Full-Stack Engineer with a proactive, "gets-it-done" attitude to be a foundational member of a new team. You will be instrumental in building the code that brings this new product to life.

This role is for a true builder who thrives on ambiguity, loves to tackle "0-to-1" challenges, and can own complex features from the database all the way to the UI. You will be a key technical voice, collaborating directly with product management and other senior engineers to define and deliver on our vision.

What You'll Do

• Build from Scratch: Write high-quality, maintainable code for both the backend (Python/Node/Go) and frontend (React), working in a balanced 50/50 split.
• Collaborate on Architecture: Work closely with Staff Engineers and Product Managers to define and refine the system architecture for a new product.
• Own the Lifecycle: Design, develop, test, and maintain new features from concept to production.
• Champion Quality: Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and system reliability.
• Collaborate Broadly: Work closely with Product Managers to refine requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Thrive in Ambiguity: Excel in a fast-paced, agile environment where priorities can shift quickly and proactive problem-solving is essential.

What You Bring (Must-Haves)

• Extensive Experience: 8+ years (14+ preferred) of professional software development experience building complex, large-scale applications.
• Proactive & Problem-Solving Mindset: A "gets-it-done" attitude is your most critical soft skill. You are a self-starter who identifies problems and builds solutions.
• Backend Expertise: 3+ years of strong, professional Python/Node.Js/Go experience in a production environment, building robust APIs and backend services.
• Frontend Expertise: 3+ years of strong, professional React experience, with a deep understanding of the modern React ecosystem, including: State Management, UI Libraries, Frameworks, and Testing.
• Commitment to Testing: A non-negotiable belief in the importance of comprehensive testing.
• Excellent Communication: The ability to articulate complex technical ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.

What We'd Love to See (Nice-to-Haves)

• Proven experience leading or co-leading system architecture decisions.
• Experience with both relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Hands-on experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
