THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a Medical Advisor – Multiple Myeloma to join our Oncology Medical & Scientific Affairs team. This role is responsible for contributing to the development and execution of the Medical Affairs strategy for one of the key brands with J&J’s haematology portfolio.
You will play a key role in shaping disease understanding, advancing evidence generation, and ensuring high‑quality scientific engagement with external experts, while working collaboratively across internal functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to the development and execution of the Medical Affairs strategy and medical plan, aligned with ANZ and global priorities.
- Build and maintain scientific, peer to peer relationships with key external stakeholders, including haematologists, nurses and allied health professionals
- Lead and support scientific exchange and insight generation to inform medical strategy, evidence plans and cross functional decision making.
- Support local evidence generation activities, including real world evidence, investigator initiated studies and collaborative research initiatives.
- Contribute to scientific communications, including congress activities, publications, medical education and scientific content development.
- Collaborate closely with MSLs, Commercial, Market Access, GCO, Regulatory and other internal partners to ensure aligned, compliant execution.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with J&J Credo values, Health Care Compliance requirements, pharmacovigilance obligations and local SOPs, including timely reporting of adverse events and product quality complaints.
ABOUT YOU
Required Skills and Experience
- Advanced scientific or clinical qualification (MD, PhD or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience in Medical Affairs (e.g. Medical Advisor/Manager, Senior MSL or related scientific role) within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Strategic agility – ability to interpret scientific, clinical and market insights and translate them into clear medical strategy and priorities that drive impact.
- Strong external engagement capability, with a track record of building trusted, peer‑to‑peer relationships with KOLs and healthcare professionals.
- Highly effective scientific communicator, able to distil complex data into relevant, credible and tailored insights across diverse internal and external audiences.
- Proven cross‑functional collaborator, able to partner effectively with Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory and other stakeholders in a matrix environment.
- Demonstrates sound judgement, learning agility and a strong patient‑centred, values‑driven mindset aligned to high standards of compliance and ethics.
Desirable
- Experience in oncology, ideally haematology.
- Exposure to evidence generation, medical education or strategic medical projects across the product lifecycle.
