Officer, Tokyo Securities Services Operations Officer, Custody Operations

シティグループ証券では、「オペレーション部門」の若手メンバー（エントリーレベル）を募集しています。

As a backbone of the global financial markets, you will be responsible for the overall operations of custody services for domestic and international institutional investors. You will play a crucial role in supporting smooth market transactions by safely managing client assets through accurate and efficient execution of duties.

In this role, you’re expected to:

• Trade and Settlement Processing: Verify trade data for domestic and international equities, bonds, etc., instruct settlement institutions, and monitor the process through to completion.

• Corporate Actions Handling: Collect and manage information on corporate actions such as dividends, interest payments, stock splits, and mergers & acquisitions (M&A). Accurately notify clients and process entitlements.

• Balance Management and Reporting: Perform daily reconciliation of client asset balances to maintain accuracy. Prepare and provide various reports, including monthly and quarterly statements.

• Client and Internal Stakeholder Coordination: Respond to client inquiries (in Japanese and English) and work closely with domestic/international brokers, trust banks, and internal front-office and technology departments to resolve issues.

• Process Improvement Initiatives: Review daily operational processes to identify opportunities for efficiency and automation. Support the planning and execution of improvement projects.

• Regulatory and Compliance Adherence: Stay current with changes in financial regulations and new rules to ensure that business processes meet all compliance requirements.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

• 3-10 years of practical experience in a back-office or middle-office role at a financial institution (e.g., bank, trust bank, securities firm).

• Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following: custody, securities settlement, corporate actions, or asset management.

• Business-level proficiency in Japanese.

• Business-level proficiency in English (primarily reading and writing, as frequent email communication with overseas offices is required).

• Basic PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Work experience at a global financial institution.

• Knowledge of SWIFT .

• Experience in project management or process improvement.

• Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn about new financial products and technologies.

• A proactive, team-oriented individual who values collaboration

• 金融機関（銀行、信託銀行、証券会社など）でのバックオフィスまたはミドルオフィスにおける実務経験（3年以上）。

• カストディ、証券決済、コーポレートアクション、資産管理のいずれかに関する知識・経験。

• ビジネスレベルの日本語能力。

• ビジネスレベルの英語能力（読み書きが中心。海外拠点とのメールでのやり取りが頻繁に発生します）。

• 基本的なPCスキル（Excel, Word, PowerPoint）。
