JOB SUMMARY
Job Profile Summary
Deliver comprehensive support for construction projects from initiation through completion, covering project planning, resourcing, contract administration, progress tracking, reporting, scheduling, and cost control. Collaborate closely with project teams to develop, implement, and sustain effective controls that drive optimal solutions and ensure predictable outcomes. Facilitate coordination among internal and external stakeholders while maintaining a high standard of service. Capable of operating independently in a dynamic environment, with the discernment to seek guidance when appropriate.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Support collaboration between internal and external stakeholders and support effective communication across all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Provide project support to ensure project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, constructibility, schedule and cost
- Act as liaison on behalf of the project manager to ensure various activities with multiple departments are coordinated effectively. Those departments may include procurement, accounting, engineering, integrated operational services, real estate services, field operations and information technology
- Monitor both project actuals and committed costs to ensure project forecasts are comprehensive and accurate.
- Assist project managers and construction coordinators with project plans that include: cost estimates, tracking project expenses, providing updated forecasts, contract monitoring, engineering matrices, construction reports, quality assurance and project closure to complete projects on-time and on-budget with satisfactory quality
- Act as coordinator to ensure the key documentation is properly managed for the projects. Some documents may include change orders, drawings, work orders, etc
- Work with project manager and other various groups to timely finalize project and closing packets for property accounting and life of the asset records. Coordinator will participate in audits of the project or closing packets
- Promote consistent use of controls and project management tools to boost collaboration, strengthen data management, drive efficiency, and streamline operations.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in a business-related discipline is preferred, and/or a minimum of four years of relevant professional experience.
Work Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in a Project Controls or related role, with a solid understanding of project management processes.
- Experience with project management productivity tools and software
- Experience in coordinating teams from various workgroups, managing relationships with internal and external participants and eliciting cooperation from all resources
- Experience researching, composing, preparing, administering contracts, policies, procedures, reports and technical correspondence
- Experience reading and interpreting policies, procedures, contracts, specifications and various reports and correspondence
- Experience interacting, advising, negotiating and communicating effectively
- Experience identifying, researching, evaluating, prioritizing problems and situations, providing appropriate actions, alternatives and/or recommendations
- Experience creating and leading presentations to groups and individuals.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of: Knowledge of: Project management principles and lifecycle phases.
- Ability to: Knowledge of: Industry standards and best practices in cost tracking
- Ability to: Ability to: read, write and communicate orally in English

- Ability to: resolve scheduling conflicts, cost overruns, and resource constraints effectively.
- Ability to: prioritize tasks effectively to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
- Ability to: facilitate collaboration between engineering, procurement, construction, and finance teams.
- Skill in: gathering and analyzing project data to identify issues and potential delays.
