We provide our global teams with the resources needed to achieve individual career goals while helping to take science a step beyond by developing solutions for some of the world’s toughest challenges, like protecting the environment, making sure our food is safe or helping find cures for cancer.

DESCRIPTION:

Thermo Fisher LPG Operations IT is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst to strengthen our supply chain planning technology capabilities. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional who excels at translating business needs into scalable system solutions, driving end-to-end implementation, and enabling measurable improvements across supply chain operations in a global environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess business processes and system capabilities, identify functional gaps, and translate requirements into clear solution designs and implementation roadmaps.

  • Lead the design and delivery of system enhancements and integrations, with a strong emphasis on data analytics, closed-loop planning execution, and Kinaxis Maestro solution expertise.

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Supply Chain, IT, Data, ERP, and Operations) to ensure on-time, high-quality project outcomes.

  • Provide functional leadership and hands-on guidance to project teams throughout analysis, build, test, deployment, and hypercare phases.

  • Drive user enablement and adoption by creating training materials, conducting knowledge transfer, and supporting change management.

  • Own day-to-day application support, issue triage, root cause analysis, and continuous enhancements to improve stability and performance.

  • Champion continuous improvement, optimizing planning workflows, automation, reporting, and system usability.

  • Evaluate emerging capabilities and recommend new features and innovations to improve planning accuracy, responsiveness, and decision-making.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Kinaxis Maestro, including closed-loop implementation and advanced data analytics.

  • Minimum 2 Kinaxis Maestro project implementations, with demonstrable delivery ownership.

  • 10+ years of supply chain management experience or related domain expertise (planning, procurement, manufacturing, distribution).

  • Proven expertise integrating Kinaxis Maestro with SAP ECC and non-SAP applications (upstream/downstream systems).

  • Strong project leadership and stakeholder management skills; able to influence across functions and levels.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex topics in a clear, business-friendly way.

  • Strong analytical thinking, structured problem solving, and data-driven decision-making capability.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and ERP integration concepts (interfaces, master data, transactional data, reconciliation).

  • Experience in workbook authoring, automation scheduling, and development of reports, dashboards, scorecards, and KPIs within Kinaxis Maestro.

  • Kinaxis Level 2 Author Certification (preferred/required as applicable).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

  • Post-graduate certifications such as APICS CPIM/CSCP (or equivalent) are a strong plus.

Preferred Skills

  • Working knowledge of relational databases and query writing (e.g., SQL fundamentals).

  • Familiarity with Agile delivery frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) and best practices in IT operations.

  • Experience with Agile tools such as ServiceNow and JIRA for backlog, incident, and delivery management.

  • Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent initiatives.

  • Strong relationship-building skills and a collaborative mindset across global stakeholders.
