Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator with a strong background in Data Architecture to join our enterprise. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of our database systems while leading data architecture strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement robust data architecture to support our business intelligence and analytics needs.
  • Administer, maintain, and support multiple databases across our enterprise environment.
  • Lead data warehousing efforts to consolidate various data sources into a streamlined and efficient data storage solution.
  • Develop and optimize data models to improve database performance and support complex data analysis.
  • Implement data governance protocols to ensure data quality and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the IT engineering teams to build pipelines for data integration and transformation.
  • Manage data migration projects, ensuring seamless data transfer between systems with minimal downtime.
  • Ability to create/manage data visualization dashboards and reports using Looker and Qliksense to support decision-making processes.
  • Utilize AWS services or similar for database management, ensuring scalability and security in the cloud.

Skills and Expertise

  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator with a focus on Data Architecture.
  • Extensive experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools and methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of data warehousing principles and hands-on experience with warehousing technologies.
  • Expertise in data modeling techniques and tools.
  • Understanding of data governance frameworks and experience in implementing such measures.
  • Ability to design and manage data migration strategies effectively.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Looker and Qliksense.
  • Experience with cloud services, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and familiarity with its database services.
