Job Description

Amazon is seeking a passionate and talented Business Intelligence Engineer to join the AERO (Agentic Retail Orchestration) team within Amazon PGX (Partner Growth and Experiences). Our mission is to elevate the experience of Selling Partners and Retail users through intelligent, collaborative Agentic AI solutions powered by specialized agents that deliver seamless, personalized support at scale.

As part of the AERO team, you will work alongside internationally recognised experts building next-generation Agentic AI capabilities for vendor management and retail operations. Your analytics work will directly impact millions of users and thousands of 1P vendors in the form of data products, dashboards, and insights that drive efficiency, growth, and transparency across Amazon's selling ecosystem.

Key job responsibilities
• Design, implement, and operate stable, scalable, low-cost data pipelines to flow data from production systems — including LLM-powered agent outputs — into the data warehouse and end-user-facing applications.
• Own the production and delivery of a suite of analytics reports and dashboards used by the AERO organization to make key business decisions, including tracking performance of agentic AI workflows.
• Partner with Product Managers, Business Leaders, and Applied Scientists to define key business questions and build datasets that answer those questions, supporting the AERO roadmap.
• Develop metrics and measurement frameworks to evaluate the effectiveness and quality of Agentic AI solutions, including agent task completion rates, latency, and business impact.
• Debug report issues, unblock workflows, and communicate with stakeholders by providing updates.

A day in the life
You will work closely with the AERO team to instrument and measure the performance of agentic AI systems serving Selling Partners and internal Retail teams. This includes building dashboards to track vendor management KPIs, designing data pipelines that ingest outputs from LLM-based agents, and partnering with engineers and scientists to translate complex AI system behavior into actionable business insights.

Basic Qualifications

- 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared)
- Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, or a related quantitative field

Preferred Qualifications

- Master's degree, or Advanced technical degree
- Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design
- Experience with statistical analysis, co-relation analysis
- Familiarity with Generative AI or Agentic AI systems, including LLM-based workflows
- Knowledge of the Selling Partner or Vendor Management business domain
