Your role

Do you want to build hardware and software that has never been built before? Some engineering problems cannot be solved within narrow roles or strict playbooks. They require curiosity, ownership, and people who enjoy figuring things out. The Rainforest is now looking for curious builders, developers and problem solvers who want to explore difficult technical challenges and turn ideas into working systems.

The Rainforest is Saab’s accelerator for disruptive innovation. Backed by Saab’s decades of expertise, we function as an internal start-up with the purpose to defy the conventional. We are a small, cross-disciplinary team currently on an expedition to develop a service-based autonomous airborne system designed to save lives where nothing else can.  

To make this happen, we work across the full development journey, exploring ideas, building prototypes, testing concepts, and iterating systems.

Your profile

You may come from software development, hardware design, robotics, aviation, or something totally different. What matters most is curiosity, hands-on problem solving, and the drive to build and learn.
 

Areas where you might contribute:

Practical information

The position is full-time, primarily based in Linköping, Sweden.

Candidates should be willing to relocate if not already based in the region.

English on a professional level is required.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
