Job Description
Physical Security Manager
Radiant is seeking a Physical Security Manager to build, own, and lead our physical security program from the ground up. This role is responsible for designing and operating a multi-site security program spanning 3+ locations- from corporate headquarters to manufacturing facilities to regulated fueling and refueling operations, each with distinct risk profiles and regulatory obligations.
You will define, develop, and implement the full suite of security procedures, standards, and infrastructure required to protect our people, facilities, sensitive information, and nuclear technology. As Radiant scales, our exposure grows, our obligations intensify, and the bar rises. This role exists to make sure our security posture keeps pace and stays ahead.
A successful candidate thinks creatively and implements lightweight, logical solutions. They challenge convention, focus on the intent behind a requirement, and never accept "this is how we've always done it" as a justification. We are looking for a proactive leader who can stand up a world-class security program and mature it continuously as we expand.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Build and own Radiant's physical security program end-to-end- defining strategy, writing procedures, deploying systems, and establishing the organizational structure to sustain it across a growing, multi-site footprint.
Develop and maintain site-specific security plans for multiple facilities with fundamentally different risk profiles.
Oversee the management of access control systems and surveillance technology.
Develop emergency response and crisis management plans, interfacing with local law enforcement and first responders.
Manage budget and resources for security infrastructure and personnel.
Review operational requirements and system specification documents to ensure applicable security requirements are addressed and incorporated into security processes.
Educate stakeholders on modern and efficient means for protecting material facilities, and information, helping build a security-conscious culture as the company grows.
Serve as our primary liaison with regulators, auditors, and government stakeholders.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
7+ years of experience in physical security, preferably in a defense or high-security environment.
Direct experience developing and implementing security programs in environments with tiered or graded risk — including at least one high-security or regulated setting (nuclear, defense, DOE, or equivalent).
Strong command of physical security principles, access control systems, intrusion detection, surveillance technology, and personnel security.
Proven track record of developing and implementing physical security policies, procedures, and plans from the ground up — not just maintaining inherited programs.
Knowledge of relevant federal and state regulations affecting nuclear and defense industry security.
Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Security Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Desired Qualifications & Skills:
Direct experience with nuclear security regulations (NRC 10 CFR 73).
Experience standing up a security organization- hiring, structuring, and leading a team of security professionals from early stage through operational maturity.
Experience interfacing with executive leadership and boards on security posture, risk, and investment.
