About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Execution Consultant- Home Lending Data Strategy & Governance professional to lead complex, cross‑functional initiatives that drive strategic priorities, operational excellence, and risk‑aware execution. In this role, you will partner closely with business leaders and support functions to plan, assess, and deliver programs that improve performance, enhance controls, and ensure regulatory and policy alignment. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of strategic thinking, execution discipline, and influence, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, analyze complex business issues, and guide teams toward effective solutions. This role requires proven leadership, deep understanding of risk and governance frameworks, and the ability to collaborate across a diverse stakeholder landscape to achieve measurable results.

In this role, you will:
Lead cross functional teams to strategize, plan, and execute a variety of programs, services and initiatives
Drive accountability for assigned initiatives, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate
Review strategic approaches and effectiveness of support function and business performance
Perform assessments through fact finding and data requiring creative approaches to solving complex issues, and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations
Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans
Collaborate and consult with members of the Business Execution team and team leaders to drive strategic initiatives
Influence, guide and lead less experienced Strategy and Execution staff within the group
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
5 yrs of Experience in Program Management, Data Governance, Risk Management or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge of and experience with key Home Lending applications: MSP, LO SHAW, CORE, CMIE
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to navigate through ambiguity and maintain momentum which drive toward results and clarity in uncertain situations
Working knowledge of the audit life cycle, standards, practices and testing strategies
Knowledge of third-party risk management and regulatory compliance; understanding of operational oversight for third party execution and third-party regulations
Knowledge of enterprise risk management framework concepts, including risk identification, risk appetite and strategy, risk related decisions, processes and controls, risk analytics and governance.
Familiarity with formal project and change management processes, particularly Agile and similar methodologies
Proven leadership capabilities, including relationship‑building, influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder management across senior leadership
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to synthesize data into clear insights and recommendations
Ability to quickly understand complex business issues, propose solutions, and drive resolution
Effective facilitation skills, including leading discussions, aligning stakeholders, and brokering consensus across differing priorities
Ability to manage diverse relationships and foster collaborative team dynamic with Risk Management, Data Governance, and other key stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Advanced Proficiency Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
Proficient with delivering against:
RCSA Policy
Data Management Policy and Procedures
Regulatory Reporting Governance & Oversight Policy
Records and Information Management Policy
Information Security Identity and Access Management Domain Policy
Job Expectations:
This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo’s compliance policies related to these requirements. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.

Posted Pay Range:
Minneapolis, MN: $131,000 to $206,000 annually
Other Locations: $119,000 to $187,000 annually

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
