What you will do:
We are seeking an experienced Lead SAP ABAP Developer to play a key role in designing, leading, and delivering scalable SAP solutions within a complex manufacturing landscape. This role goes beyond hands-on development and includes technical leadership, design governance, and close collaboration with functional, integration, and business teams across SAP S/4HANA and hybrid environments.

Work on modern SAP architectures leveraging S/4HANA, Fiori, and integration technologies.
Influence technical direction, standards, and best practices across SAP programs.

How you will do it:
Lead the design, development, and delivery of complex SAP ABAP solutions across ECC and S/4HANA systems.
Own end-to-end technical delivery of RICEF objects, including reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and data conversions.
Architect and develop advanced ABAP solutions using OO ABAP, CDS Views, AMDPs, and ABAP on HANA principles.
Design and support OData services and REST-based APIs to enable Fiori applications and system integrations.
Provide technical leadership and review for enhancements, BADIs, user exits, and framework-based developments.
Collaborate with SAP functional leads (MM, PP, SD, FI, QM) to convert business requirements into high-quality technical designs.
Lead and support SAP S/4HANA conversions, Brownfield/Greenfield implementations, and modernization initiatives.
Guide and mentor junior ABAP developers; enforce coding standards, best practices, and performance optimization.
Address complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure long-term solution stability.
Coordinate with integration teams on IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, PI/PO, and CPI-based interfaces.
What we look for:
Required
8–12+ years of deep, hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development, including technical leadership roles.
Strong expertise in:
ABAP Objects (OO ABAP), Modularization
Reports (ALV), Enhancements, Module Pool
IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and Interfaces
Forms: SmartForms, Adobe Forms, SAPscript
Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA:
CDS Views, AMDPs, Code Pushdown
Performance tuning and HANA-optimized designs
Solid understanding of manufacturing business processes and data models, especially in MM, PP, SD, and FI.
Experience leading development efforts in Agile, SAFe, or hybrid delivery models.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
Experience with SAP Fiori / UI5 development or backend enablement.
Exposure to SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and cloud-based extensions.
SAP certification in ABAP, S/4HANA Development, or Technology Associate.
Previous experience as a technical lead on SAP transformation or global rollout programs.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $92,000 - $139,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
