With 3,000+ experts across North America, we partner with leading companies in aerospace, medical devices, robotics, automotive, commercial vehicles, EVs, rail, and more.

As part of the global ALTEN Group—57,000+ engineers in 30 countries—we deliver across the entire product development cycle, from consulting to full project outsourcing.

When you join ALTEN Technology USA, you’ll collaborate on some of the world’s toughest engineering challenges, supported by mentorship, career growth opportunities, and comprehensive benefits. We take pride in fostering a culture where employees feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow.

  • Support satellite verification and validation activities across Flatsat, HWIL, SWIL, and simulator environments by mapping technical requirements into effective test strategies and plans.
  • Develop system‑level and subsystem‑level test plans, procedures, and automated test scripts to verify software, hardware, and integrated system performance.
  • Design and build automated test systems, ground support equipment, and tooling to improve workflow, test coverage, and production efficiency.
  • Serve as Test Conductor for formal validation events, leading dry runs, readiness assessments, and execution of scripted validation sequences.
  • Write automated test scripts—particularly TCL‑based scripts—for command‑and‑control environments and maintain reusable test frameworks.
  • Troubleshoot complex hardware/software interactions, perform detailed data analysis, and generate test reports, non‑conformance records, and closure documentation.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional efforts across engineering, integration, and operations teams to support planning, readiness, and execution of test campaigns.
  • Support system architecture activities including trade studies, requirements updates, and development of key mission‑level artifacts such as CONOPS, algorithm descriptions, and interface documents.

Qualifications;

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 1–3+ years of experience supporting aerospace hardware or software development, including design, integration, verification, or system‑level testing.
  • Experience with Flatsat, HWIL/SWIL, simulators, or similar integration environments.
  • Proficiency with test automation or scripting (TCL, Python, or similar), preferably within command‑and‑control systems.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering workflows such as requirements traceability, verification planning, and test documentation.
  • Ability to interpret schematics, mechanical drawings, CAD models, cable/wire lists, and engineering documentation.
  • Understanding of space mission lifecycle phases including requirements development, design, build, test, and operations.
  • U.S. citizenship required; able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
