Job Description Summary
GE Aerospace is seeking a Warehouse and Materials Fulfillment professional for our Springdale, OH facility. In this role, you will support the movement, storage, and control of materials that are essential to producing and servicing world-class aerospace products. You will work closely with operations, logistics, and planning teams to ensure that materials are received, processed, stored, and delivered safely, accurately, and on time.This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment, and is committed to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Job Description
Role Overview:
- Manage shortages to maximize enablement and clear to build in order to drive on time starts and completes to MRP and collaborates closely with Flow Leaders/Production Line Managers to ensure buy-in and adherence to the plan.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and parts; perform put-away, picking, packing, and shipping tasks; operate material handling equipment in accordance with safety procedures.
- Perform cycle counts, assist with inventory accuracy initiatives, identify and report discrepancies, and help maintain proper stock rotation and storage practices.
- Stage and deliver materials to production and service areas based on work orders and schedules; ensure material availability to meet production and customer delivery requirements.
- Process transactions in ERP/warehouse systems (e.g., receipts, issues, transfers); maintain accurate records, labels, and documentation to support traceability and compliance.
- Follow all EHS policies and procedures; use PPE as required; participate in 5S/lean activities; help maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
- Identify process issues or bottlenecks; suggest and support improvements that enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, or manufacturing materials handling environment.
- Ability to use basic computer systems (email, data entry), learn ERP/warehouse systems, read and interpret work instructions, packing lists, and basic documentation.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift materials/boxes (within defined weight limits) for extended periods; ability to operate or be trained to operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with inventory systems (e.g., SAP or similar ERP), RF scanners, barcoding, or WMS; basic understanding of lean/5S principles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy; reliable and punctual; strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicate clearly with peers, supervisors, and cross-functional partners.
- Ability to identify discrepancies in counts or documentation and work with others to resolve issues quickly.
