Key Responsibilities- Technician

1. Preventive & Routine Maintenance

• Perform regular inspections of office facilities, equipment rooms, and mechanical areas.

• Record all maintenance activities in logbooks.

2. Troubleshooting & Repairs

• Respond to breakdowns, alarms, and service requests.

• Troubleshoot issues related to electrical systems, HVAC units, plumbing leaks, door and furniture repairs, and basic civil works.

• Perform immediate corrective actions and escalate major faults to the Facility Lead.

3. Vendor & Contractor Coordination

• Assist in supervising vendors performing servicing or repairs.

• Verify work quality, ensure safety compliance, and report any discrepancies to the Supervisor/Engineer.

• Escort contractors and maintain proper access control in technical areas.

4. Inventory & Tools Management

• Track spare parts, consumables, and tools.

• Report low-stock items for replenishment.

• Maintain tools/equipment in good condition.

5. Customer & Helpdesk Support

• Attend to internal end-users’ requests promptly (lighting issues, AC temperature complaints, minor repairs).

• Provide quick solutions or escalate when needed.

• Maintain professional communication with tenants/end users.

8. Documentation & Reporting

• Update logbooks, checklists, maintenance forms, and daily reports.

• Report incidents, near misses, and system abnormalities.

• Support audits and compliance reporting.

Requirement

• Basic handyman work (carpentry, painting, patching).

• Event support/setup (power points, moving items, AV support).

• Energy-saving monitoring and implementation.

• Support during emergencies such as fire drills, power shutdowns, or water leaks.

• Teamwork- supporting the FM Team in any office event and celebration, meeting room arrangement and logistic.

A technician ensures the office operates smoothly by handling maintenance, troubleshooting, safety checks, and supporting occupants’ needs. The role requires technical skills, physical work, quick problem solving, and strong safety awareness.
