The ICS Engineering Value Chain Designer is responsible for leading, directing, developing and executing the ICS OPACC Improvement Agenda (OIA) for ICS Cab Systems and Components.  This will be achieved in close collaboration with the ICD Global Strategy Manager working within and across different business units to ensure alignment and consistency for strategy execution.
 
JOB DUTIES: 
•    Address product development, capacity, costs, quality, supplier development, etc., -- the entire product related functional activities which determine success of product group for current and future product
•    Create an Enterprise Cab Systems and Components EVC OIA vision and direction for the business and translate it into a series of near term and long-range strategies and functional plans
•    Develop a prioritized list of OPACC Initiatives for business units and execute the compelling business case within and across business units (employees and leaders).   
•    Provide leadership to multi-functional teams accountable for product related functional achievement of product group needs for assigned current and future product
•    Support a team responsible for market research, identifying market/customer requirements leading to the development of a new aftermarket model and introduction plan to Caterpillar dealers
•    Gathering and development of best practices based on observed profit improvement – amongst all the initiatives and replicate across business units. 
•    Communicate with related organizations (Business resources/Procurement/Supply Chain/ Transportation, etc…) to resolve issues independently and on time to achieve business results
•    Brings extensive best practice experience to improve overall OPACC cost, quality, velocity
 
COMPETENCIES & BEHAVIORS:

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE: 
•    Bachelor degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum plus 5-10 years of experience in Cab Systems and components Design, Purchasing or Supply Chain
