About the Role

Roku is committed to providing the best-in-class streaming hardware and software to consumers, enabling them to cut the cord and stream right from their TVs. To help enable this vision, the Director of Analytics is responsible for setting and delivering an analytics agenda that helps inform decision making, enables effective roadmaps, and guides strategy.  

The Director of Analytics will have a wide scope and be the senior strategic analytics partner for product management, marketing, ecommerce, retail sales, and engineering. We are looking for a strong operator with deep expertise in analytics that drives retail strategy, merchandising, promotions, and product strategy. 

For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $248,000 - $331,000 annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Work with the Devices leadership team to plan and drive an analytics strategy and roadmap that equips the business to make optimal decisions and roadmaps for our hardware products 
  • Find novel data-based approaches to optimizing sales, pricing, merchandising, and promotions strategies through our retail and distribution channels 
  • Leverage analytical and statistical skills to proactively generate insights that helps us build an excellent streamer experience 
  • Partner with other data science, data engineering and analytics teams to execute on an overall data strategy that drives Roku forward 
  • Hire and develop a team of exceptional analytics professionals who will generate actionable insights, balancing the tradeoff between precision and practical outcomes
