Would you like to be part of a team that is redefining the IT industry? Amazon Web Services is leading the next paradigm shift in computing and is looking for a dynamic results oriented candidate to join as the Partner Development Manager, Asia Pacific & Japan.
The Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) Strategic Consulting Partners Team works with Global System Integrators and Business Advisory Partners to drive accelerated business growth and large-scale customer transformations. The team manages key partnerships and deals through top-down engagement with APJ leadership of strategic partners. It owns initiatives with pan-APJ relevance and medium to long term impact by identifying patterns and running programs to unlock value. It serves as the connected tissue between global teams and APJ country Area teams, owning the execution of global programs. The role is open to locations in Singapore, Sydney and Melbourne.
Reporting into the APJ Strategic Consulting Partnerships Leader, as the Partner Development Manager for APJ within Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of AWS' services and solutions, driving business acceleration and strategic initiatives across an identified set of strategic consulting partners.
Your broad responsibilities will include owning one or more partnerships with consulting partners, and accelerating business with them across Asia Pacific & Japan. You will achieve this by establishing business and technical relationships, and managing the day-to-day interactions with Partners, APJ leadership and country partner teams. The ideal candidate will possess both a business background that enables them to drive an engagement and interact at the CXO/VP level, as well as a sales and partner management background that enables them to easily lead and influence peers and partners at a frontline across alliance, partner development, partner sales, specialized sales, and account teams. He/she should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions. The candidate for this role should also have experience working in large, matrix organizations effectively engaging with a diverse set of stakeholders to shape, lead, execute, and build mechanism that run-the-business. Experience working with large software providers and system integrators will be critical to manage complex partnerships and be comfortable, working across various teams and earn trust. The candidate should be a self-starter, self-motivated, a driver who gets things done and has a bias for action and delivering results.
Key job responsibilities
• Manage one or more partnerships with consulting partners including strategic planning, initiatives execution, and run-the-business mechanisms to drive acceleration across the organization.
• Work in close coordination with global and country teams to (a) identify long-term growth opportunities, and (b) systematic blockers, and run strategic initiatives to address them.
• Provide an APJ level view point on the partnership to the leadership
• Work with global and country teams to identify best practices and scale them up
• Manage and develop multiple Sales and Partner Leadership stakeholder relationships, relentlessly earning trust by aligning and executing on initiatives that support both sales and partner strategies.
• Bar raising document writer, and able to audit/coach broader team on their written documents to accelerate initiatives, and deliver high quality executive engagements.
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience explaining complex technical concepts to various business and technical audiences
- Overall experience of 10+ years in Partnerships management / Sales / business consulting or strategy, in technology context sales, or a mix of such experience
- Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience explaining complex technical concepts to various business and technical audiences
- Overall experience of 10+ years in Partnerships management / Sales / business consulting or strategy, in technology context sales, or a mix of such experience
