Job Description

Cuyana is now hiring a retail Assistant Store Manager for our Nolita store location.

RESPONSIBILITIES*

  • Partner with and support the Store Manager to drive and grow the business productivity and profitability
  • Meet team and individual sales goals
  • Assist with monitoring, tracking, and communicating trends and opportunities of key business metrics
  • Lead by example, demonstrate integrity and consistency of Cuyana values

Sales & Client Generation

  • Deliver a positive Cuyana sales and customer service experience
  • Build and cultivate client relationships
  • Be an expert on product and brand knowledge
  • Customize virtual and in-person styling services within Cuyana customer segmentations
  • Maintain and build a book of client business through various outreach methods
  • Proactively outreach to customers regarding new product launches and brand information; follow up on recent purchases

Operations

  • Support the Store Manager in the economical and operational management of the store, in compliance with policies and procedures
  • Complete all store transactions - purchases, exchanges, returns
  • Process and receive stock transfers
  • Actively clean, organize, and maintain the store and stockroom
  • Merchandise the sales floor with direction from manager and product team
  • Work with HQ partners on marketing initiatives, technology updates, inventory reconciliations, etc.
  • Open and close store when needed, assume responsibility when the store manager is not present
  • Cuyana Community (help teammates during peak season, support retail events or community events)
  • Future responsibilities as business and staff grows:  Assist Store Manager with maintaining weekly staff schedules, ensure time and attendance expectations are met; Monitor team sales productivity; Assist in interviewing and onboarding of employees
