We’re looking for a Materials / Inventory Manager to ensure optimal inventory levels that support smooth and uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

What you’ll do:

✅ Manage raw material and component inventory to meet production needs

▸Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production while minimizing excess and obsolescence
▸Oversee receiving, storage, issuing, and material movement per SOPs

✅ Analyze inventory data and recommend stock level improvements

▸Analyze inventory, forecast demand, and recommend stock levels based on lead times
▸Ensure stock room conditions meet product, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements

✅ Lead, develop, and manage a materials/warehouse team

▸Lead, coach, and manage materials and stock room teams
▸Drive performance, accuracy, safety, and positive labor relations
▸Promote continuous improvement across inventory operations

✅ Support and optimize inventory management systems (ERP/WMS)

▸Support and optimize inventory systems (ERP/WMS)
▸Partner with IT, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and Procurement to improve data accuracy
▸Support audits, reporting, and process improvements

✅ Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics, and IT

▸Align inventory planning with production and business goals
▸Proactively escalate and resolve risks related to shortages, excess stock, or system issues

Required Skills & Competencies

Analytical Thinking: Uses basic analytics and reports to identify trends, issues, and root causes.
Decision Making & Critical Thinking: Understands decision processes, escalation paths, and operational impact.
Warehouse / Distribution Management: Knowledge of receiving, storage, picking, dispatch, KPIs, and safety standards.
Inventory Management (Manufacturing): Manages RM, WIP, and FG inventory; handles transactions, counts, and reporting.
Logistics Management: Supports inbound/outbound logistics and maintains shipment documentation.
Problem Solving: Applies structured approaches to assess risks, solutions, and corrective actions.
Process Improvement: Identifies inefficiencies and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
Supply Chain Management: Understands supplier-to-production flow and supports supply chain analysis.

Qualifications
▸Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
▸Certifications such as APICS (CPIM, CSCP), Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing are an advantage.

Experience

▸Minimum 3-5 years of experience in inventory management, materials management, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.
▸Proven experience managing teams, including performance management and staff development.
▸Hands-on experience with ERP/WMS systems and inventory control processes.

On-Site Full Time

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 07:30 am. – 04:30 pm.

Work location: Caterpillar (Thailand) Ltd. 337/1 Moo 3, T. Nong La Lok, A. Ban Khai, Rayong 21120, Thailand

This position requires working onsite five days a week.
