Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Laboratory Engineer Microbiology located in Uppsala, Sweden on a 1-year fixed term contract to start in August!
We are looking for a Laboratory Engineer in Microbiology to join our Quality Control Microbiology Department. You contribute to shaping the lab’s way of working, ensure high quality in our analyses, and ensures that our products maintain a high level of quality. You will work in close collaboration with other functions and play an active role in continuous improvement initiatives.
The responsibilities and the impact YOU will have:
- Perform quality control testing of products, raw materials, media, packaging materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Carry out environmental and hygiene sampling in laboratory and production areas, including sample reception, incubation, result evaluation, and reporting.
- Create, review, and maintain controlling and reporting documentation within the area of responsibility, such as analytical methods and routines, to ensure good scientific and GMP/QMS compliance.
- Participate in laboratory investigations, non-conformance (NC) investigations, CAPA activities, audit observations, and actions related to Change Control processes.
- Actively participate in improvements and develop new solutions to facilitate work and improve efficiency within the department.
We would love to hear from YOU, if you have the following essential requirements:
- An academic degree in pharmacy, natural sciences, or a technical field, preferably with a focus on microbiology.
- Alternatively, upper secondary education may be accepted together with at least five years of relevant experience in GxP‑regulated operations.
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Good IT skills.
