We are looking for an Assistant Building Manager to join Cushman & Wakefield in Uxbridge, supporting the management of one of our most prestigious and exciting buildings.

The purpose of this role is to support the Building Manager in the day-to-day operational management of the building, ensuring high standards of service delivery, compliance with risk management practices, and excellent occupier experience. You will act as a professional and approachable first point of contact for occupiers and visitors, representing Cushman & Wakefield’s brand values at all times.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will assist with coordinating the operational day-to-day aspects of building management, ensuring services are delivered efficiently and in line with Cushman & Wakefield policies and procedures.

You will work closely with the Building Manager, service partners and occupiers to ensure the building operates smoothly and remains compliant.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support the Building Manager in ensuring the building remains legally and statutorily compliant, with inspections and repairs completed within required timeframes.

  • Assist with identifying works required on site and support the appointment and coordination of contractors.

  • Monitor contractor performance and day-to-day activities on site.

  • Liaise regularly with occupiers to keep them informed of building activities and services.

  • Support the management of occupier queries relating to Facilities Management services.

  • Assist the Building Manager with service charge administration, including budgets, reconciliations and variance reporting.

  • Escalate any tenant activity that may breach lease obligations to the Property Surveyor or Building Manager.

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with surveyors, service partners and occupiers.

  • Support administrative duties, including record keeping, compliance documentation and reporting.

About You

The ideal candidate will have experience in Facilities Management or Building Management, with a strong customer-focused approach and a desire to develop their career within a leading property consultancy.

You will be:

  • Organised and proactive, with good attention to detail

  • Confident communicating with occupiers, contractors and internal stakeholders

  • Comfortable supporting building operations in a busy, client-facing environment

  • IT literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • IOSH as a minimum qualification.

  • Ideally NEBOSH.

Previous experience supporting a Building Manager or Facilities Manager would be highly beneficial.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an industry-leading organisation that actively supports career development and progression within property and facilities management.
