Job Description
Join our R&D team at Olink, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific and contribute to meaningful innovations that help make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
As a Development Engineer, Systems & Automation, you'll work on projects spanning automation using robotic liquid handlers, analysis instruments, and laboratory equipment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize new products, from initial concept through successful implementation.
You'll have the opportunity to develop new automation, work with DNA sequencing,, improve existing products, and solve complex technical challenges. Your work will directly impact our proteomics development projects.
A Day in the Life:
In this role, you'll conduct development work, perform testing and validation, analyze data, and communicate results effectively to diverse audiences. We offer a collaborative environment where you can grow your career while making meaningful contributions to scientific progress.
Technical requirements:
• Advanced Degree plus 2 years of product development or R&D experience
• Preferred Fields of Study: Biotechnology, molecular biology, or related technical field
• Strong technical expertise in robotic liquid handlers, sequencers, qPCR
• Excellent documentation and technical writing skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset
• Experience with quality systems and regulatory requirements (GMP, ISO, etc.)
• Demonstrated success in project execution and delivery
• Advanced computer skills including relevant design/analysis software
Soft skills:
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
• Self-directed with excellent organizational and time management skills
