Job Summary & Responsibilities

Role Overview

As a Senior Freight Analyst, you will be the freight data intelligence specialist. You will transform complex global shipment data into actionable insights, driving cost efficiency and operational visibility across all modes: Air, Ocean, Ground and Small Package. This role requires a blend of logistics expertise and high-level technical proficiency in Power BI and Advanced Excel.

Key Responsibilities

Advanced Analytics & Reporting: Conduct detailed analysis of global freight spend, detailed analytics on Air, Ocean, Ground and Small Package volume trends, and carrier performance. Build and maintain automated dashboards in Power BI or Tableau to provide real-time visibility to leadership.

Cost Management: Perform deep-dive cost-benefit analyses, identify "leakage"  and non-routing guide compliance, in small package and freight billing, and model financial impacts of route or mode shifts.

Carrier Management: Support global freight bids, lead performance reviews (QBRs) with carriers to drive operational excellence in on-time delivery and safety.

Cost Optimization: Identify and execute year-over-year cost-saving initiatives through route and mode shift optimization, shipment consolidation, and lane analysis.

Risk & Compliance: Mitigate logistics risks—such as geopolitical disruptions and capacity constraints—while ensuring 100% compliance with international trade regulations and customs.

Escalation Management: Serve as the primary global lead for resolving critical shipment delays, equipment damage claims, and logistics bottlenecks.

Supplier Governance: Create and manage Global Supplier Scorecards to rank carriers on KPIs like on-time delivery (OTD), carbon footprint, and invoice accuracy.

Market Intelligence: Monitor and report on global logistics trends, capacity constraints, and geopolitical risks, translating external market shifts into internal strategic recommendations.

Operational Excellence: Partner with service, warehouse and manufacturing teams to optimize small package shipping workflows and reduce expedited freight costs through better forecasting.

Audit & Integrity: Own the integrity of logistics data from multiple sources (Oracle, financials, carrier data, freight auditor, etc)  ensuring all reporting sources are validated and audit-ready.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Statistics, Data Science, or Finance.

Experience: 5–8+ years as a Logistics/Freight Analyst, ideally within a high-tech or semiconductor environment.

Experience managing transportation carriers, and supporting a global network of suppliers and service logistics.

Technical Skills:

Expert Excel: Mastery of Power Query, VBA/Macros, and complex modelling.

BI Proficiency: Proven ability to build enterprise-level dashboards in Power BI or Tableau.

Small Package Expertise: Strong understanding of parcel carrier rate structures and surcharges.

Systems: High proficiency in ERP and Freight Audit & Payment Companies
