What’s the role
The Planning Optimization Lead is responsible for the integrated Supply Chain performance management, country and partner performance and compliance requirements related to supply chain activities. The role is also the SME for Local Content and for managing the SC digital strategy execution.
Accountabilities:
Lead and promote a continuous improvement mindset across the Supply Chain organization, fostering proactive engagement and disciplined execution. Coach Supply Chain teams, as required, on continuous improvement methodologies and link initiatives to performance‑based improvement agendas.
Lead and support end‑to‑end Supply Chain optimization initiatives aimed at improving operational excellence, with a strong focus on simplification, efficiency, risk reduction, and sustainable value generation.
Act as the primary interface between the Global and Brazil Supply Chain organizations for digital and systemic initiatives, including coordination and execution of the Supply Chain Digital Roadmap.
Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Contracts & Procurement, co‑leading engagement with key regulatory stakeholders on reporting, compliance, and approval matters, including—but not limited to—Partners, PPSA, ANP, and other relevant regulatory bodies.
Ensure full Supply Chain compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements, including Local Content obligations, Production Sharing Contract (PSC) contracting requirements, cost recovery, and partner audits. Guarantee these requirements are fully embedded into Supply Chain ways of working; act as SME for Local Content matters.
Support and coordinate partner audits, regulatory reviews, and internal audits, ensuring readiness, consistency, and timely responses.
Lead Contract Management Continuous Improvement, accountable for embedding improvements and changes into local Supply Chain ways of working in collaboration with Commercial Leads, Contract Holders, and Contract Owners, including the coordination of targeted training and capability‑building initiatives.
What you bring
Must have legal authorization to work in Brazil on a full-time basis for anyone other than the current employer
Bachelor’s degree is required
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in commercial and/or procurement roles, with strong project and change management capabilities. Prior experience in the Oil & Gas industry is strongly preferred;
Proven track record of execution excellence and delivering results through direct and indirect leadership of cross‑functional teams.
Professional commercial or procurement certification (e.g., MCIPS, ISM) preferred but not mandatory.
Highly driven with a strong “can‑do” mindset; inspiring leader able to communicate in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.
Strong focus on tangible value creation, with the ability to translate strategic intent into measurable business outcomes.
Uncompromising commitment to HSSE, ethics, and compliance — non‑negotiable.
Demonstrates an enterprise‑first mindset, collaborating effectively across Supply Chain and the wider business.
Strong business acumen; able to speak the language of the business, influence effectively, and adapt communication style to different audiences.
Champions continuous improvement and ruthless simplification; strong digital and AI acumen is critical.
Proven ability to build and sustain trusted relationships with key internal stakeholders and external partners.
Comfortable making and supporting decisions in ambiguous situations and with incomplete data.
Able to leverage the full supply chain network to deliver value‑adding change and advance commercial strategies
