Operations Supervisor – Night Shift

At McKesson, we deliver critical healthcare products that support patients and providers every day. As an Operations Supervisor – Night Shift, you will lead overnight warehouse operations, ensuring accurate, safe, and timely receiving, picking, and shipping of pharmaceutical and medical supplies. You’ll coach and develop your team while driving productivity, quality, safety, and continuous improvement in a fast‑paced distribution environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, coach, and engage night shift associates and team leads, addressing performance, attendance, and corrective actions as needed.
  • Plan and oversee nightly warehouse operations to ensure accurate order fulfillment and on‑time shipping.
  • Lead shift huddles, team meetings, training sessions, and new‑hire safety orientations.
  • Support labor planning and productivity goals to meet operational targets.
  • Champion McKesson safety, housekeeping, and compliance standards to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Monitor key performance indicators including productivity, accuracy, quality, and attendance; take corrective action when needed.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues using root‑cause problem solving to reduce disruptions and improve workflows.
  • Partner with Inventory Control, Transportation, and other supervisors to optimize overall distribution center performance.
  • Ensure proper use of warehouse systems and accurate reporting and documentation.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure compliance with Good Distribution Practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the safe operation of material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

Schedule & Shift Details

  • Night Shift: Sunday – Thursday
  • Typical hours may include 7:00 PM – 5:00 AM or until work is completed
  • Must be able to work a consistent night schedule, including weekends or holidays as business needs require
  • Night shift differential eligible

What You’ll Bring

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics operations with supervisory or leadership responsibility.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and conflict‑resolution skills.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and performance metrics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfort analyzing operational data.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in a warehouse environment.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
