Job Description:

   

The Hybrid Cloud Solution Senior Technical Consultant will be responsible for delivering the solution architected by pursuit solution architect to reality. Working closely with project manager and team members to ensure the final solution meet customer’s expectation whilst maintaining schedule and budget constraint. Support pre-sales activities by providing solution review and overall feasibility.

The Hybrid Cloud Solution Senior Technical Consultant delivers advanced consulting, architecture design, and implementation services across on-prem, private cloud, and public cloud environments for enterprise customers in Malaysia and the Southeast Asia market. The role requires strong hybrid cloud expertise, customer-facing consulting skills, and the ability to manage multi-country delivery engagements common within the SEA region.

The consultant works closely with customers, regional project managers, and cross-functional teams to design secure, scalable, cost-optimized hybrid cloud solutions aligned to industry best practices and local regulatory requirements (e.g., BNM RMiT, PDPA, MAS TRM).

Responsibilities:

1) Hybrid Cloud Architecture & Design.

• Lead the design of hybrid cloud architectures combining on-prem infrastructure with public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), including integration with regional data sovereignty requirements.
• Develop HLDs, LLDs, migration blueprints, and implementation plans tailored to Malaysia/SEA customer environments.
• Provide expert guidance in cloud adoption, modernization strategies, and digital transformation roadmaps.

2) Implementation & Technical Delivery

• Deliver full lifecycle implementation of hybrid cloud components:
• Virtualization (VMware vSphere, VCF, Hyper-V)
• Private cloud stacks (Nutanix, VMware, HPE GreenLake)
• Public cloud services for ASEAN markets (Azure MY/SG, AWS Singapore, GCP Singapore)
• Execute migration of workloads, databases, and applications from on-prem to cloud or hybrid platforms.
• Implement automation, IaC (Terraform, Ansible), and CI/CD processes as part of modernization initiatives.

3) Regional Compliance, Security, & Governance

• Ensure hybrid cloud solutions comply with regulatory frameworks such as:
• Malaysia: BNM RMiT, PDPA
• Singapore: MAS TRM
• Thailand / Indonesia / Vietnam: Local data residency and compliance expectations
• Provide advisory services around IAM, encryption, zero trust security, and governance models.

4) Customer Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise customers in sectors such as BFSI, telecommunications, manufacturing, and government.
• Conduct cloud readiness assessments, TCO/ROI analysis, cost optimization reviews, and performance evaluations.
• Deliver workshops, technical presentations, and knowledge transfer to customer technical teams.

5) Multi-Country Project Delivery

• Support regional consulting projects across SEA (Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines).
• Collaborate with regional delivery teams in ASEAN to ensure quality and consistency of technical outcomes.
• Prepare clear documentation, progress reports, and handover materials aligned with internal and customer standards.

Education and Experience Required:

• 6–10 years of IT consulting, cloud engineering, or infrastructure delivery experience.
• Demonstrated success in delivering complex hybrid cloud or data center transformation projects in the Malaysia or SEA region.
• Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong understanding of hybrid cloud architecture and integration patterns.
• Hands-on expertise in:
• Cloud Platforms: Azure, AWS, GCP
• Virtualization: VMware vSphere/VCF, Hyper-V
• Hybrid Cloud Platforms: HPE GreenLake, Azure Arc, AWS Outposts
• Containers: Kubernetes, AKS/EKS/GKE, OpenShift
• Networking: VPC/VNet, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, firewall/security rules
• Automation: Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python
• Experience with multi-region cloud deployments, especially Singapore-based cloud regions.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to lead customer conversations, negotiate trade-offs, and guide decision-making.
• Delivery-oriented, self-driven, able to work independently in diverse cultural environments.
• Comfortable working in multi-country, multi-time zone project setups.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Azure Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect – Professional, or Google Cloud Architect.
• VMware VCP/VCAP.
• HPE certifications (ASE / Master ASE).
• ITIL or TOGAF beneficial.
