Job Responsibilities:

Summary:  The Maintenance Manager at Magna Structures LMV will plan, organize, implement and direct a program of total preventative and predictive plant maintenance operations and ensure facilities and equipment is maintained to produce world class product

Job Responsibilities: The following duties are normal for this position.  These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive.  Other duties may be assigned and required.

Communicate with all plant personnel about Maintenance concerns Coordinate and supervise materials and components required for equipment maintenance and manufacturing Actively participate in design and development of methods and equipment Provide ongoing training to Maintenance associates on doing their job safely Follow and enforce all plant safety rules and procedures promoting and practicing safety first policy, including housekeeping Develop and implement a training program for all Maintenance associates to upgrade their skill levels Develop and implement an effective Preventive Maintenance program for all presses and assembly equipment Maintain a motivated and proud teamwork environment with ownership in workmanship Actively participate in the cross-management team in achieving world class performance in safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement activities. Use reasonable means to require all associates to comply with safety policies and rules and enforce through a system of effective accountability that includes progressive discipline Ensure associates have a workplace free from recognized hazards which are or may cause serious physical harm; must comply with Occupational Safety and Health standards applicable to the division and Magna’s standards Assist in conducting accident/incident investigations and implement corrective action where necessary Conduct monthly safety inspections and implement corrective action where necessary Follow and support LMV’s and Magna’s operating principles and display the company’s core values on a regular and consistent basis

Supervisory Responsibilities: May direct both hourly and salaried associates within the Maintenance Department

Education and/or Experience:

  • Two – four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or three years of job related experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with others on all levels of the organization
  • Ability to prepare, read, write and interpret reports, instructions, and procedures
  • Ability to effectively and appropriately present information and respond to questions from various groups
  • Intermediate proficiency in computer skills
  • Must have good organizational skills
  • Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, blueprints, diagrams, requirements and business correspondence.
