You will be working with some of the best minds and talents in the data space including business stakeholders, architects, application teams, privacy, security, governance etc. We believe in empowering our teams and leaders to take end to end ownership of the outcomes with the highest focus on quality, stability, security and customer satisfaction. 

As a User Experience Product Owner, you’ll be the voice and advocate for a major user segment (Data Producers). You’ll be responsible for deeply understanding the sub-personas of the Data Producer Archetype; those that produce insights and Data Products. You’ll translate their needs into a prioritized roadmap that clearly ladders up to the Data Experience Roadmap, blending user empathy with technology systems thinking and strategic prioritization.

You will:

  • Serve as primary advocate for the Archetype and sub-personas across forums, maintaining a deep understanding of the user goals, workflows, interactions, mental models, and friction points

  • Be able to represent the Archetype and sub-personas (such as Data Product Owners, Data Engineers, Data Modelers, etc.) in design reviews, roadmap planning/assessment, and trade-off decisions while simultaneously balancing engineering feasibility and governance compliance

  • Develop and maintain a prioritized roadmap, grounded in research, persona insights, experience standards, and business value, that clearly ladders up to the Data Experience Roadmap

  • Collaborate w/UX Designers/Researchers to analyse existing feedback for themes, patterns, and opportunities (support tickets, usage analytics, etc.)

  • Work closely with roadmap owners across engineering and governance to provide requirements and acceptance criteria that guide solution design and delivery of Archetype needs

Essential Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in Product Management/Ownership and/or UX strategy in data-adjacent roles

  • Working knowledge of data platforms like Lakehouses, Teradata, Greenplum, Cloud Platforms, Hadoop; data engineering tech stack including Informatica, Streamsets, Kafka, Spark, SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, MemSQL etc.

  • Understands metadata models, taxonomy, ontology, semantic layer and data quality frameworks

  • We are looking for individuals who:

    • Have a genuine curiosity and empathy for the end user interacting with data to derive business value

    • Communicate clearly, crisply to peers and upward

Desirable Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Science, Business Analytics, Human-Computer Interaction or similar

  • Experience in LLM Integration & Orchestration, Prompt Engineering, and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)

  • Storytelling for influence, knowledge of Big Data technologies with at least 2 years of technical hands-on data engineering experience and Product Manager certifications

Compensation: Dell is committed to Fair and Equitable compensation practices. The Base Salary Range for this role is $158,100 to $204,600.
