Associate - II IC, Corporate Action - Nuveen Global Investment Operations
The Corporate Actions team is responsible for global dividend income and global corporate reorganization research and processing, including, but not limited to, splits, reverse splits, mergers, name changes, redemptions, calls, liquidations, tenders, exchanges, conversions, right subscriptions, dutch auctions, and subscription warrants.
The Corporate Actions Associate role will be responsible for reviewing, monitoring, and processing both dividend income and corporate action events within Nuveen Middle Office software applications - XSP Toolbar (FIS), Eagle PACE (BNY Mellon), PORTIA (SS&C), and Charles River Development. The Senior Analyst role is also responsible for additional in-depth research, analysis, and monitoring.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Process mandatory and voluntary corporate action events end-to-end — mergers, splits, dividends, rights issues, tender offers, etc.
Validate corporate action data against Bloomberg, MT564 messages, Markit, and custodian notifications
Solicit, validate, and submit voluntary election instructions to custodians within strict deadlines
Perform daily reconciliation of corporate action and dividend entitlements across systems
Investigate and resolve discrepancies, breaks, and exceptions with internal and external partners
Report daily event processing status, system restrictions, and outstanding items to stakeholders
Serve as the first point of contact and subject matter expert for the corporate actions team
Support Middle Office Transformation (MOT) initiatives including process re-engineering and SOP development
Support internal and external audits with accurate documentation and reconciliations
Educational Requirements
