What the Pharmacy Technician does at Worldwide

The Pharmacy Technician performs study dosing, dispensing, dose preparation, and related tasks following Worldwide procedures, applicable regulations, and study protocol requirements under the direct supervision of a pharmacist while directly reporting to the Associate Director, Pharmacy Services, or may be indirectly supervised by the Director and Leadership. This position requires strong attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

What you will do

  • Always maintain a professional attitude, appearance, and communication when interacting with sponsors, participants, vendors, and coworkers

  • Complete study-specific pharmacy documentation, dosing, labeling, drug accountability, temperature and humidity monitoring, blinding procedures, and quarantine of test articles

  • The technician also completes study-specific Pharmacy documentation, processes and tracks supply and equipment orders, and maintains pharmacy inventory

  • Perform other duties as assigned.  The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive


What you will bring to the role

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Able to work effectively with co-workers in a team environment and individually unsupervised

  • Able to perform duties at a fast pace without errors 

  • Willing to perform repetitive tasks 

  • Able to communicate effectively orally and in writing

Your experience

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, an active Pharmacy technician certification, and registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. An IV admixture certification is a plus.
