What this job involves?

 

·       Primarily do Business Development for Retail Advisory and pitch for new assignments, majorly in Mumbai, Pune and rest of West India, with a focus on all major metros and Tier 2/3 and other emerging cities, wherever newer opportunities are emerging.

 

 

·       Closely work with all Retail Segment leads and Regional leads on jointly pitching for Retail Advisory assignments, leveraging the network of Transactions team members.

 

·       Assist the central execution team of Retail Advisory in the delivery of the assignments by giving market feedback, leasing related inputs, targeted rents, conceptual framework of the asset under development.

 

·       Give inputs from Retail standpoint for Retail Real Estate Research, Feasibility Studies, Best-Use and Highest-Use Studies and also Retail asset-led Mixed-Use Feasibility Studies

 

·       Dual exposure of a client-facing role combined with guiding, supervising and helping the Retail Consulting team execute with the assignment delivery

 

·       Assess client requirements, initiate & maintain client interactions, provide inputs on pricing, and participate in proposal discussions and site inspections, wherever need be.

 

What skill sets does this role require?

·       A consultative, strategic bent of mind with a reasonable exposure to the Retail business (leasing and consulting)

 

·       Must possess a deep understanding of how various Retail formats perform under different Retail Real Estate ecosystems (Shopping Centres, High-Streets, Mixed-Use developments, standalone-retail etc)

 

·       Consulting & Data Analysis skills – should have a reasonable experience in Real Estate Research and having worked on Retail Consulting projects

 

·       Reasonably good understanding of various Retail segments – Fashion, Apparel, Accessories, F&B, Family Entertainment, Multiplexes, Beauty and Personal Care, Jewellery, Department Stores etc

 

·       A basic understanding of real estate and building by-laws

 

·       Execution skills- Report writing - Feasibility report market research report etc., Market surveys, financial modelling, making presentations.

·       Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

 

 

Requirements:

 

·     At least 8-12 years of experience in Real Estate Research / Consulting

 

·     Bachelors or Masters Degree in Business Management (MBA/ MA etc)

 

·     Those with background in in architecture, Urban Planning, Urban Design will be an added advantage

 

·     Excellent Communication & Interpersonal skills. Strong analytical, proven negotiation & financial skills with the ability to adapt to change.
