Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer with strong PowerShell and Python development and Windows application support expertise to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience supporting production-critical Windows-based applications deployed across AWS and Azure, along with a strong foundation in DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure, and automation. This role requires the ability to design, automate, and operate scalable, reliable, and secure solutions in enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and implement DevOps solutions to support the development, deployment, and operational support of applications on Windows platforms.
Develop and maintain PowerShell-based automation frameworks and scripts for application deployment, configuration management, monitoring, and operational support.
Provide L2/L3 application support for Windows-based applications running on AWS and Azure, including troubleshooting production issues and performing root-cause analysis.
Collaborate closely with development, operations, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure seamless software delivery and operational stability.
Build, enhance, and support CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, release, and deployment processes for Windows applications.
Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent technologies.
Automate system administration, patching, deployments, and routine operational tasks using PowerShell and Python, reducing manual effort and improving reliability.
Support and optimize cloud infrastructure and services across AWS and Azure, with a strong focus on Windows workloads.
Integrate applications with observability and SRE tools such as Grafana, Splunk, PagerDuty, and Cloud-native monitoring solutions to enable proactive monitoring, alerting, and incident automation.
Monitor, analyze, and optimize system performance, availability, security, and cost efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, test, UAT, and production environments, ensuring adherence to SLAs and SLOs.
Participate in incident management, problem management, and post-incident reviews to drive continuous improvement.
Provide technical guidance, documentation, and mentorship to junior team members.
Stay current with emerging DevOps, cloud, Windows platform, and automation best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or Application Support Engineer in enterprise environments.
Strong hands-on experience supporting Windows-based applications in production environments.
Advanced PowerShell scripting and development experience, including modules, functions, error handling, and automation frameworks.
Solid knowledge of cloud platforms, with hands-on experience in AWS and Azure.
Practical experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, and container services (ECS/EKS).
Experience supporting Windows workloads on Azure, including VMs, networking, storage, monitoring, and security controls.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell and Python.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools including Visualization and analytics platforms for metrics and logs, Monitoring and alerting toolkits for cloud-native environments, Splunk, ELK stack, or similar platforms.
Hands-on experience with SRE and incident management tools such as PagerDuty for alerting and incident automation.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams.
