As a Sr. Coordinator, Treasury, you will play a critical role in supporting CarMax’s Banking & Treasury Operations Team. This position contributes to execution of financial processes that maintain efficient banking, cash application, and payment operations. You will collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and store associates, research transactions, compile reports, and support accounting functions—all while delivering exceptional service. Team Overview
The Banking & Treasury Operations team is a vital part of CarMax’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all banking processes. As a Sr. Coordinator, you will work closely with Treasury leaders, cross-functional departments, and store teams to deliver timely, reliable, and efficient financial services that support every aspect of our business nationwide.
Role Responsibilities
- Execute banking processes, including preparing and processing bank deposits accurately
- Serve as the primary owner for electronic funds transfer setup and approval verification in the banking system
- Execute wire and ACH transfers in banking portals
- Serve as the primary administrator for electronic banking portals, including establishing and managing user access for associates
- Review and process invoices, collaborating with external partners to resolve billing discrepancies
- Assist in responding to inbound Treasury inquiries and communications.
- Support accounting, audit, and compliance activities related to certain banking functions.
Work Location and Arrangement: This role will be based out of the CarMax Home Office in Richmond, VA and have a Hybrid work arrangement. Associates based in Richmond work onsite 5 days per week.
Work Authorization: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Sponsorship will not be considered for this specific role.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or related fields
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in completing processes
- Ability to collaborate effectively and build strong relationships across teams
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Logical thinking and problem-solving ability to resolve routine issues efficiently
