Job Description

Do you thrive on tackling billion-dollar data science challenges involving trillions of data points? Are you passionate about breaking new ground where computer science meets hard science? If transforming raw, untidy data into game-changing insights—and surprising business leaders with the power of Generative and Agentic AI—sounds like your mission, then P&G is the place for you.

As a Data Scientist in our organization, you will play a crucial role in disrupting current business practices by designing and implementing innovative models that enhance our processes. You’ll design and implement advanced models that push the boundaries of AI, optimization, simulation, and machine learning. Your expertise will drive scalable, innovative solutions that combine:

  • Cutting-edge Operations Research (optimization, simulation)

  • State-of-the-art machine learning (tree models, deep learning, reinforcement learning)

  • Next-gen Generative AI and Agentic AI techniques to build dynamic, intelligent systems

Collaborating closely with our Data and AI Engineering teams, you’ll turn complex algorithms into robust, production-ready products deployed at scale in cloud environments. From exploratory data analysis and feature engineering to delivering actionable insights, your work will directly shape P&G’s competitive edge. Along the way, you’ll grow as a recognized thought leader—mentoring others, sharing your know-how, and quantifying your impact on real-world business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Invent and Innovate: Lead the design and development of cutting-edge data science and AI algorithms that challenge the status quo

  • Collaborate to Scale: Partner with engineering teams to productionize and deploy scalable, high-impact solutions

  • Master Large and Complex Data: Drive exploratory analysis, feature engineering, and modeling on massive datasets using cloud tools and platforms

  • Inspire and Elevate: Mentor fellow data scientists and become a go-to expert in AI, optimization, or generative techniques

  • Deliver Impact: Translate complex data into strategic insights that transform business decisions and outcomes

  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python and familiar with major Data Science/machine learning libraries like OpenCV, scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow/Keras, and Pandas.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and test code within cloud environments.

  • Experience with large datasets and developing in cloud computing platforms such as GCP or Azure.

  • Experience applying analytic methodologies such as Machine Learning, Optimization, Simulation, and Generative and Agentic AI to real-world problems.

  • Familiarity with DevOps environments, including tools like Git and CI/CD practices.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence others to take action.

  • Ability to work onsite in Cincinnati, OH based office on a hybrid work schedule.

Preferred:

  • Agentic Development: Has experience developing and deploying AI Agents or agentic workflows in any of the major cloud environments.

  • Familiarity with cutting-edge frameworks and techniques: In this constantly evolving space, evidence of experimenting with the latest releases in foundational models, knowledge graphs, agentic platforms, and the broader AI field.

  • A commitment to lifelong learning, keeping up to date with the latest technology trends, and a willingness to teach others while learning new techniques.
