Job Description
Amazon One Medical (AOM) is passionately working to build a best-in-class healthcare product designed to make high-quality healthcare easy to access. We own Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) within AOM, which represents the comprehensive financial lifecycle that manages patient accounts from their initial healthcare service request/appointment booking through to the final payment settlement. This process is fundamental to AOM's financial stability and operational efficiency, allowing us to focus primarily on delivering quality patient care.
We are seeking a talented Program Manager who is familiar with the billing complexities of the healthcare industry. You will have strong math or analytical skills to ensure we are accurately recording cash payments into our billing system, have strong communication skills to be able to explain our cash reconciliations to external stakeholders, and identify solutions that can automate how we record our cash. This role will partner closely with RCM Operations, Healthcare Finance Operations, Accounting, Finance, and our Health System Partners (external to Amazon).
Key job responsibilities
- Monitor and reconcile cash payments across all payment channels (insurance, patient, HSP) to ensure accurate recording in the billing system
- Develop and maintain cash posting controllership and workflows to minimize posting errors and improve automation opportunities
- Track key metrics including cash posting accuracy, posting lag time, and reconciliation variances while creating dashboards for performance visibility
- Partner with RCM Operations, Healthcare Finance Operations, Accounting, Finance, and Health System Partners to resolve payment discrepancies and streamline cash workflows
- Lead cash reconciliation processes and communicate findings to external stakeholders including health system partners and payers
- Conduct root cause analysis on payment posting errors and identify solutions to automate cash recording processes
- Ensure cash posting processes comply with healthcare regulations, accounting standards, and support month-end close and audit requirements

- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience working in healthcare environment
- Experience in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of program or project management experience- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
