Utility & Infrastructure (Project Manager II)
Location: Dayton, OH (Service Building)
Work Model: Primarily in‑person; occasional weekends/irregular hours as needed
About the Role
As a Capital Project Manager, you will independently manage large‑scale transmission, distribution, and infrastructure projects, owning results from planning through construction. This role sits at the core of our PMO and plays a critical role in delivering projects that expand capacity, enhance reliability, and support long‑term system needs.
What You’ll Do
- Manage multi‑million‑dollar capital projects ($5M–$50M+) with full accountability for scope, schedule, budget, and risk.
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, cash flows, and risk registers.
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure construction milestones and outages are executed safely and on time.
- Lead procurement planning, scope development, bid evaluations, and contract administration.
- Track and forecast project costs; provide detailed monthly reporting for PMO and leadership.
- Identify risks early and drive mitigation strategies.
- Support mentoring and development of junior PMs.
- Participate in PMO process improvement and lessons‑learned initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–7 years of experience managing capital construction projects.
- Utility, infrastructure, or data center experience preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
- PMP preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP and Oracle P6 strongly desired.
