Key Responsibilities

Protein Expression

  • Responsible for the resuscitation, passage, transfection, culture and other experiments of mammalian cells such as HEK293 and CHO
  • Responsible for data analysis and processing of cell culture experiments, and complete the preparation of experimental records and reports
  • Operate bioreactors, centrifuges and prepare buffers and reagents
  • Responsible for the formulation and update of SOP, summarising and solidifying work experience
  • Managing instruments, and be able to carry out maintenance as required
  • Complete other tasks assigned by the supervisor

Protein Purification

  • Responsible for purification of mammalian recombinant antibody and protein by affinity chromatography, ion exchange chromatography, size exclusion chromatography and other methods, and able to formulate appropriate purification scheme according to order requirements
  • Responsible for filling in and rechecking records related to the purification experiment
  • Responsible for the formulation and update of SOP, summarising and solidifying work experience
  • Managing instruments, and being able to carry out maintenance as required
  • Complete other tasks assigned by the supervisor

Key Requirements

  • Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences / Life Sciences / Bioengineering / Chemistry or related courses
  • Practical laboratory experience in the field of recombinant protein/antibody expression
  • Familiar with the experimental operation of Mammalian Cell-culture, Chromatography, SDS-PAGE, Western blot, HPLC and other protein detection is preferred
  • Good troubleshooting skills
  • Strong sense of achievement; resilient and able to perform under the pressure
  • Team player with good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Available to work 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week, with 2 rest days that may not always fall on weekends
