Job Description
Crusoe's mission is to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. We’re crafting the engine that powers a world where people can create ambitiously with AI — without sacrificing scale, speed, or sustainability.
Be a part of the AI revolution with sustainable technology at Crusoe. Here, you'll drive meaningful innovation, make a tangible impact, and join a team that’s setting the pace for responsible, transformative cloud infrastructure.
About the Role:
The Capacity Planning & Efficiency Team is a critical, cross-functional group within the Cloud: Engineering and Product (Crusoe) organization, responsible for ensuring the company can scale efficiently and meet future demand.
Our core mission is two-fold:
Strategic Planning: To accurately forecast and plan for the capacity needs of our cloud infrastructure and hardware products, optimizing capital expenditure and resource utilization.
Operational Excellence: To drive efficiency across the entire product lifecycle, from design (Eng) through manufacturing (Ops), by standardizing processes and eliminating waste.
This team sits at the intersection of Finance, Engineering, and Operations, serving as a governance layer that turns strategic plans into executable, efficient programs. The PLM Manager role is fundamentally important to this mission, as the implementation of a global PLM system is the necessary foundation for achieving true operational efficiency, data quality, and scalable planning across Crusoe's growing product lines.
The Staff / Senior Staff PLM Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for architecting, implementing, and governing Crusoe's global Product Lifecycle Management system. This role is essential for establishing the Enterprise Product Record, creating a single, authoritative source of truth for all product data. You will be the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) who drives the strategy and execution necessary to transition Crusoe into an Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) operational model, optimizing our supply chain and accelerating our time-to-market for cutting-edge AI hardware and data center solutions.
Your contributions will directly shape Crusoe’s ability to effectively plan, optimize and expand its cloud capabilities that align with our commitment to efficiency and sustainability. Help build one of the largest fleets, powering the world’s favorite AI-First cloud!
What You'll Be Working On:
System Ownership & Roadmap: Own the end-to-end PLM strategy and technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives for aggressive scale and vertical integration.
System Implementation Leadership: Lead the technical configuration and deployment of our chosen PLM platform (e.g., Arena, Oracle Agile, or SAP).
Data Governance: Architect and enforce a comprehensive governance framework for all product development processes, specifically designed to manage the complexities of developing hardware across servers and data centers.
Integration & Ecosystem: Define the architecture for PLM system integrations with key enterprise platforms, including CAD tools and the ERP (e.g., Oracle Fusion, Netsuite, Coupa or SAP ERP) to ensure seamless data flow and process continuity.
BOM Management: Drive operational PLM activities to support both New Product Introduction (NPI) and Mass Production (MP) programs.
Configuration Control: Architect and manage sophisticated multi-tier Bill of Materials (BOM) structuring, release, and maintenance.
Change Management: Oversee all configuration management processes, including Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), and Manufacturing Change Orders (MCOs), ensuring rigorous quality and process standards are upheld.
Dual-Sourcing Enablement: Implement the necessary system architecture and workflows to formally manage alternate part numbers, enabling a robust dual-sourcing strategy for supply chain resilience.
