Job Description:


We are seeking a curious, enthusiastic and accomplished Manager, Business Management (Transaction Banking Channels) to play a pivotal operating role in a dynamic technology organization. The ideal candidate will thrive at the intersection of operations, strategy and technology, and is motivated to expand their cross-functional experience and skillsets in the establishment of best-in-class operating systems.

This manager will own a portfolio of responsibilities for the GTB Channels Technology organization, ensuring efficiency and quality across strategy, communications, planning, delivery and special projects. While not a hand-on technologist, the manager must demonstrate strong technical acumen and the ability to partner with technical delivery teams on driving business outcomes.

The role will require willingness and ability to be flexible, think critically, learn hands-on across a range of disciplines and develop a deep understanding of technology strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Business Management

  • Directly support org Leadership on special projects, critical initiatives and strategic communications

  • Research and analysis to support strategy and prioritization

  • Own responsibility for reporting and communications on all Business Management processes and initiatives

  • Manage business cases and approval processes for a range of planning, optimization and delivery initiatives

  • Drive operational excellence through proactive identification of improvement opportunities and creation of systems and tools

Cross Functional Integration

  • Partner with delivery teams to ensure tight coordination between engineering effort and business outcomes

  • Proactively identify opportunities to strengthen collaboration with partner teams and function

  • Drive continuous improvement on integration between business, finance, risk and technology within the GTB Channels organization and the GTB Technology Program

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in business management, strategy, technology, operations and/or technical program management. Experience in Capital Markets / Transaction Banking is considered an asset.

  • Demonstrated track record of delivering successful results in environments of ambiguity and rapid change

  • Strong business acumen, including understanding of the relationship between business and technology. Hands-on experience with risk management is a plus.

  • Strong technical acumen, with the ability to learn new technical concepts easily and deepen understanding of technology operations

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with an emphasis on strategic communication
